Seems like the auto-save function of the notes editor renders the undo action unusable.
When editing text in the notes window if you pause for a second or two then the undo option in the menu is grayed out :-(

Any way to disable this?

gualo,

Thank you for posting. This is normal, however, I will submit this as a request to our developers to possibly decrease the amount of time between auto-saves.

As a workaround, you can still use TheBrain's Edit > Undo > Undo "Edit Note":

I translate "this is normal" by "that's the way it is implemented"...
I had already figured out the menu undo option but you certainly agree that having to go to a sub-sub-menu option using the mouse can be very cumbersome and annoying, specially since the possibility exists and it would/should be easy to associate a keyboard shortcut to it.
Please don't decrease the auto-save frequency, just make it so that it works "as expected".

Thank you in advance.

From release notes :

Quote:
Version 7.0.4.0
May 10, 2012
• Fixed: Auto-save of notes prevents the local undo within notes from working
o Auto-save now only happens after 30 seconds of idle time

Hello All,

Once Notes have automatically saved, the Edit > Undo feature within the Notes field will become unavailable until more changes are made. This is normal functionality and the only way "around" it is to increase the amount of time between auto-saves, which is now every 30 seconds.

FYI, this was changed in 7.0.4.1 so that the auto-save does not disable the notes editor's local undo feature.
