Can you send or post a screenshot of where that appears and a URL that produces the warning for us to test?

Thanks,
Matt

Hello Matt

Here is the screenshot in attachment.
You see above that not the name of the url but the message 'Broser connection security ' appears.
This happens for each wikipedia link I want to make.
Thanks for looking,
Kind regards,
Gerard

Matt,

I've just noticed the same behavior with 9.0.264.0, also with wikipedia.

This URL produces the below thought. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_technology#Mechanical-switch_keyboard

screenshot.png  The web URL in the thought works fine, just the name isn't getting set correctly. And I'm able to add thoughts from URLs on other websites.

Thanks,
Berant

This seems to be an issue occurring only on 9.0 builds of TheBrain.  We do have a new 9.1 build available from  https://www.thebrain.com/products/thebrain/thebrain9-1 . Can you upgrade to this new build and try linking to the Wikipedia page/s again?

Thank you,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Another issue in the same order of the previous:

When i want to open this pdf : https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fweb.engr.oregonstate.edu%2F~budd%2FBooks%2Foopintro3e%2Finfo%2Fchap01.pdf
From within the Brain, I receive a message: Unexpected server response, when I asking more information, i receive the following message:
PDF.js v1.4.20 (build: b15f335)
Message: Unexpected server response (0) while retrieving PDF "https://docs.google.com/viewer?url".

However I can open the pdf externally.

Regards,
Gerard

Hi there,

Just to let you know I'm also facing the "Browser Connection Security Issues".

There's a notice at Wikipedia stating that "Wikipedia is making the site more secure. You are using an old web browser that will not be able to connect to Wikipedia in the future. Please update your device or contact your IT administrator."

https://www.wikipedia.org/sec-warning

Could it be that the browser your emulating in TB is considered "to old" ?

Haven't tried 9.1 yet, but from what I read above the doesn't solve the problem.

Needless to say this problem is annoying as one has to rename every single thought you Drag&Drop into TB from wikipedia, which I do pretty often.

Keep up the good work, and best regards !
