Does anyone know how to copy the thought icon to the Clipboard? For months, I have been collecting images of people, company logos, and flow diagrams, but just recently have needed the ability to copy and paste one of these into a Word document.

Unfortunately, you cannot simply display the thought icon zoomed and then right-click on it to copy to the Clipboard. Or, what would be nice is right-clicking on the thought and just below "Capture Thought Icon" is "Copy Thought Icon." Even under the Thought tab, there isn't an option for copying the icon's image file to the Clipboard.

Any ideas?

From the Thought tab, click the Open Folder icon (looks like a folder with an arrow). It will open the folder for that thought. Then you can copy the TheBrainIcon.png file, or open it with a viewer, or embed into a document.

Thanks for the reply, Zenrain! It's a bit of a workaround, but it will have to do for now. -- Glen

Now using TB10 and trying to find a way to copy a thought icon from an existing thought so I can paste it back on another thought which has been changed because it has multiple attachments.

Activate the thought and hit Enter to activate it's properties. Right click on the thought icon and click Copy Icon. Now open Finder or Windows Explorer and paste. It should create a .png file (or whatever the file type is). Then Copy that and paste as a file icon.

Zenrain, it seems that for icons pulled from the link on the web  the copy icon option is not selectable. For icons you put there explicitly this approach works fine.
