I'm using alpha 9.0.216.0 on a Mac running OS X 10.12.6 and keep getting an error trying to import my version 8 file. Is there anything I can do? I'm ready to switch full-time to 9 and bummed that I can't get it running. I tried three times w/ a brain I've successfully imported in the past.

I've also been having difficulty importing my TB8 megabrain file into TB9 on windows, but I suspect it's down to running out of disk space during the conversion process. Could that be an issue in your case too on Mac?

@spacenexus - thanks for your reply. I should be pretty good on disk space. My brain isn't all that big and I have ~15gb of free disk space. It looks like it's just some Java null check throwing an error in the importer. Based on the error text, I could probably delete something from my events if I knew what to look for... but I am not sure what it would be.

Marcus and Jim,

Thank you for reporting.  We'd be very interested in seeing your full Output.log file after attempting an import.  This file can be found by clicking on Help > Open Log Directory in your application. You can send the file, along with a brief description of the problem (or reference forum thread # 9295710) in the email.

Also, we're always happy to test with real Brain Databases. If you're comfortable with sharing a .brainzip from v8, go ahead and send that our way too.  If the file is too big for email, it can be uploaded to http://www.hightail.com/u/TheBrain.

Thank you,
Matt Caton
