After installing 8.0.1.8 this morning, I noticed the TheBrain app icon wasn't showing up in my Keyboard Maestro application switcher (command-tab). It shows up normally in the Mac OS app switcher. Restarting Keyboard Maestro and TheBrain didn't resolve the problem, and everything else appears to be functioning normally.

I'm sending Keyboard Maestro developer Peter Lewis (support@stairways.com) an email as well.

I Love TheBrain and remain excited about its future!

Peter Lewis responded:  Quote: Yes, unfortunately, with each new OS X release, Apple have been steadily reducing their support for Java applications so that they no longer appear as real applications.

No big deal, and to be clear, TheBrain is showing up normally in the Yosemite built-in application switcher.

I use Keyboard Maestro also, and have had to switch back to the Yosemite application switcher as well.

So I don't have a solution either, but I feel your pain. [smile]
Fortunately I also use LaunchBar, which I can I can use as a switcher as well if I need a bit more functionality.

danlandrum,

Thanks for sharing this information and Keyboard Maestro's response. I also use keyboard Maestro but never use the application switcher it offers. Fortunately, this will not be an issue in the future as TheBrain is shifting towards no Java. [wink]
