Sometimes when typing in Notes-Window the cursor disappears and keystrokes are no longer typed to the notes. It looks like focus is lost. When I bring bach the cursor by pointing with the mouse and left-click into the window, then I can write again.

I see this behaviour on both of my brain-machines. On the smaller one more frequent than on the bigger one.

I've seen this as well. I’ve also noticed that sometimes the last letter or two vanish along with the cursor.

Right, thanks for this additional 'feature': Cursor jumps back and 'eats up' the last letters.

I do see all this, plus another one: sometimes the cursor moves to the beginning of the next line for no reason.

It happens on all three platforms, Linux, OS X, and Windows.

tonite while typing lots of notes --
anywhere in a sentence -- cursor disappears
-- deletes last couple of letters most times --
happens often - sometimes every sentence
sometimes every 3rd or 4th sentence...
to replicate -- just start typing....
eventually cursor will disappear and take the last 2-3 letter with it...

I'm also experiencing these issues.  They occur so frequently that it's impossible for me to take notes within Notes.
