How would we go about having a look at the capabilities of the free version. I'm considering writing brains to take advantage of it.

The easiest way would be to set your clock forward by 30 days... The list of what features are enabled/disabled is included in the feature list at http://www.thebrain.com/pbbeta

Right. Time to fire up VMWare and XP... Change the date... Ooo beta will expire in six days (win version 4.04.3 on J-1.4.2_12). No worries there....

Actually, I'm finding several things in the free version working that are not supposed to. For example:
Fat scrollbars
Vertical layout
Multiple Thought selection
Auto Capitalize.

I'll download the new version later and see if there is more that I can do (that I'm not supposed to be able to do).

Now why do I get a perverse feeling of joy at the thought of that?

Cheers

Hi Tim,

Actually, those are not mistakes.

The free edition has many features in it. Even a lot that were not part of the registered version of PB3. It is intended to be a very usable version of the software. The feature list at http://www.thebrain.com/pbbeta outlines what is and is not included in the free edition.
