Netsaver

Configuration: Windows XP PRo, PB 4.072, Auto-hide Top
Problems:

1) after minimizing PB window, I cannot restore it by clicking on PB icon
top-aligned, but on the click I can see a PB window minimized elsewhere
on the desktop (not in the app bar), just flashing and then disappearing.
I have not the time to reach it with the mouse, so I move the PB icon
close to its position, then very quickly I click on both, giving the focus
to the PB minimized window, then right-click and restore...

As alternative I recalled task-manager, but PB is classified as a process
without related application window, also with Alt-Tab PB window cannot
be found... someone could explain how PB window management works?

2) after pressing ctrl-alt-canc to lock the desktop, then after restoring it,
instead of the PB icon, only a shadow was found, without any interaction
possibility.

Are you having these troubles only with autohide top?

If you want to access PB via alt-tab, use the Window > Float mode.

Yeah, both the problems only happen with Auto-hide enabled,
in the float mode all works fine.

The first problem is easy to avoid, it's enough not to give
minimize command, also because it's not needed in auto-hide mode.
About the second, I can switch to float just before locking the
desktop, anyway I'll continue observation on this matter.

Thanks and regards

I just reread your message... When PB is set to autohide and the tab (circular window) is visible, the PB window should never be visible. This has happened I guess since you minimized the window by right clicking on it and selecting minimize? This is a bug - minimize should be impossible while in autohide mode...

Exactly, Harlan, the minimize command was available in hide mode,
by right-clicking on the title bar.

This happens at every Brain's start-up, then I thought it was always
available, but after reading your reply I tried again (PB was running from
hours) and it was no more, minimize command was greyed (!)
Then I quit and start again PB and (at the moment) I can minimize in
hide-mode.

I'll monitor the behaviour to understand if there's a specific event toggling
on-off the command visibility.

Thanks, Harlan

We've disabled the minimize command in 4073. Thanks for catching this.
