Reinhard,

Do you recall how you got to this state?  I'm unable to replicate and the example date is updating according to my input of ether a / or a -.  Does switching between / or - or , refresh the example date for you?  I'm suspecting a possible conflict between US and European keyboard may be at play here.

Thank you,
Matt

I'm using a German version of Windows 10 and TheBrain 9.x with an English UI.
This erroneous state always shows in Preferences|UI.

It seems that TheBrain just shows some hardcoded (?) default format in the entry field for 'Custom date/time format for Notes' instead of accessing the (user) settings of the operating system but then uses the settings of the os to display the example date right to the entry field.
