Hi,

I have a dual monitor set up.

When I'm using the Brain 10 on laptop's primary screen it works ok, but when I drag the window to my secondary screen it becomes really sluggish.

Dell XPS 13 9343
WIN 10
Primary screen:
Resolution 3200x1800
Scale 175%
Secondary screen:
3840x2160
Scale 150%

Try turning off "compact window title bar" in preferences.

The 'compact windos title bar' was already turned off.

I see sluggish performance as well.
When the new thought text box pops up, if you immediately start typing it's very sluggish. You can see the characters not appearing as fast as being typed. But if you wait a couple of seconds and then start typing it's fast.
Version: TheBrain 10.0.25.0

I've tried this on two different machines and can only duplicate it on one of them. The one which cannot connect to the internet has this problem.

Please send a video recording (if possible) of the issue into support@thebrain.com with a corresponding Output.log file.  The Output.log file can be located by clicking on Help > Open Log Directory in TheBrain.

Thank you,
Matt

Matt, I can't send it as it's a controlled environment. The OS is Windows 7. At best I can paste a snippet of the log which I've done here.

By clicking several thoughts one after another, then launching the new thought dialog is very sluggish to open and type.
Subsequent launch of the new thought dialog is fast. If I then click thru several thoughts, the next launch of the new thought dialog is very sluggish again.

Here is the relevant section where I'm adding a "training" thought to "My Work". Hope this helps.

Sean,

Can you please confirm that you have turned off your Compact Windows Title Bar? Please click on Options > Preferences and on the Look and Feel tab, uncheck the option for "Compact Window Title Bar" . This is simply a feature that places the File, Edit, Thought, etc. controls in the upper frame of the app. Turning it off will have no effect on your Brain data and may speed up the application.

Thank you,
Matt

I didn't turn it on, as recommended by Harlan earlier in this thread.
