Recreated in OS X 10.11.1, TheBrain 8.0.2.1
Steps to recreate:
  1. Right click thought and choose Open Notes window
  2. Drag Notes window to 2nd display (or display TheBrain primary app is located in).
  3. Type in stand-alone Notes window.
  4. Go back to TheBrain and switch to a different thought.
  5. The stand-alone notes window will shift back to the display TheBrain is using.
Note: I suspect it's due to Java and if TheBrain 9 has similar functionality, won't have this problem, but reporting it anyway because it drives me absolutely crazy whenever I try to do this.

Zen,

Thanks for pointing this out.  I've made a note of it for v8.  As you mentioned, we'll have more control over v9 behavior.  No floating notes features in v9 yet though.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Matt.
The current v9 behavior, where you can drag a tab to make a new window, make it small and maximize the notes area is more than fine for my need for a stand-alone notes window. [smile]
