HanBav, It sounds like you are trying to upload a Brainzip of your Brain via the browser. The instructions I posted here does not mention this. Please follow the steps posted. If you encounter any problems with the sync please forward us a copy of your output.log file to support@thebrain.com.

Thanks,
Moe

Moe -

Here's my update: Downloaded PB 6011 update and used it to directly synch to Webbrain per your instructions (i.e. not using brainzip or a browser). For the first time, it seemed to actually be working ... at least it showed a linear progress bar and took about fifteen minutes to "upload." Unfortunately, when it had completed there was no Brain present in my Webbrain account, which besides being disappointing, makes me a bit nervous about where my private stuff went.

Moe,

I'm having the same problem as Grid_Guy. Mine took a couple of hours to upload (tried it twice).

I'm having the exact same issue.

I've attached my output.log, but there doesn't seem to be anything in there.

Now I am confused: (21 May)

made the sync without an upload of brainzip before.
But I do not see this brain in my account.
What now?

in addition I

Tried a fresh new brain with 2 thoughts:
Only made it & synced it with webbrain.
said: upload ok, all changes are made or something like this.
(is there a way to recall the last message posted upper right?)
When logging in into my account I do not see any additional brain.
Is there another way to see the new brain made by only syncing?

Hi Harlan,
maybe it is not good for you working on sunday, but I appreciate it, thanks

Because I am not totally shure what GUID the previously uploaded brain had, I just made a new upload / sync:

uploading today's brain with GUID:
AFEEF80E-B128-B20D-890F-5445A387C2DB
(is there a way to copy & paste the GUID?)
message in brain: "sync complete: everything in this brain was uploaded"
still don't see it on webbrain account

Moe has got my login and I even would have no problem in sending my brainzip.
I appreciate the fast reactions of Moe & you.

Have a good weekend.

Harlan & Moe!

new brain created on Computer S: 2 thoughts
sync to Webbrain done but not visible in webbrain account
transfer to J
syncing from J with webbrain
now I see this brain in webbrain!
create one more thought
Synchronizing changes with WebBrain / Determining last sync point : takes a long time for this tiny 3 thought brain: many minutes
Stop: This operation will continue in the background.
Close Brain Open Brain
Sync again takes too long - minutes
Stop close brain
make similar thought in S brain: Test thought 3 created on S sync brain Determining last sync point: same story: neverending

so the only good thing is: Now I can see the initially uploaded brain.
I wonder if you can reproduce this short example?
Mine is public btw

had used brain version 6010 instead of 6011 on J
have to try again with both new versions.
set up new brain on J with 4 Thoughts
don't see TestWebbrain6011 on webbrain
2nd sync on Thought 5.
still dont see this brain on webbrain
make brainzip on J
transfer to S
brain won't open it without any comment
tried it even with start by doubleclick on brainzip file in explorer: no reaction!
test on J: here the brainzip is opened!
test on R:
update brain version to 6011
same as on S: don't react on opening brainzip!
next try: transfer brain files without zip to R:
worked!
upload / sync with webbrain
sync complete
still don't see it on webbrain account
copy same brain to S:
open it
synchronize: upload ok
dont see on webbrain
add thought 6 on S
sync done
try to sync on J:
upload done: everything synced, but no download sync: don't see thought 6 on J:
same in other direction

bottom line:
so it seems to be a one way (upload) only (from 3 identical brains).
No download of changes.

Tried syncing a number of times today and finally it all worked (mostly).

It not only appeared in the webbrain section, but it synced across my 2 computers with only 1 noticeable error (so far) and that is... one small parent had lost it's child thoughts (**section 1 Sales & Service, below) and when I clicked on the parent, it would show it briefly before reverting back to show the grandparent again (Complete Operations Manual).

Other parents under the same grandparent all showed, no problems, and they all had thier child thoughts too... just this one parent issue out of all of them - not too bad. See below for the visual.

(Just noticed the icon hasn't updated for the green heading too - might be related to the issue?)

FYI... we're continuing to troubleshoot issues with uploading Brainzips to webbrain.com today.  Stay tuned...

I'm really curious about what special conditions of my brain (and obviously some others) lead to this misbehaviour.
Hope it is not some headache that already drifted from my wetware brain (Jerry's word for it) to the external brain.

I tried a direct sync again with new version 6012 -- still no dice. It appears to be uploading and after a half hour or so the process quietly terminates. But then when I go to webbrain.com there's nothing in my account. (I have this set as a private brain.)
