No, WebBrain does not use the index information in uploaded BrainZips. You can include it, but it will be ignored. At present, searching of Brains on WebBrain is pretty basic, but it will be improved in the future.

It's probably a good idea to include the index, in case you or someone else needs to download the whole brain. It will constitute an online backup...

FYI, the index can always be regenerated and you will not be able to download the index from WebBrain, so there is no reason to include it in your uploads.
