How to properly install THEBRAIN 8 to work along version 9 (#3220)
How can we do a web meeting to see this issue?
How to properly install THEBRAIN 8 to work along version 9 (#3220)
My case should be unique then, because I am almost positive one of the application replaced the other. I look on Programs and Features and the odd thing is that both shows there but now TheBrain9 is not visible anywhere. I look the root c: Folder for both Program Files folder to search for TB9 and there is no trace of it, not even within thebrain8 Folder. Really frustrated because this is a looping issue. If I try to reinstall 9 it affects 8 and vice. In case you ask I have done a search to my computer looking for TB9 files and folders but without luck.

How to properly install THEBRAIN 8 to work along version 9 (#3220)
Since I installed version 9 of TB, version 8 stopped working. I have uninstalled/reinstalled v8 but when I run the application it does not display any plex thoughts just some (...) on the middle of the app but no response at all.

Please anyone who have gone through this problem that advise how to overcome this issue and let me work with both versions???
TAG editor
Is there a way to enable a tag editor in TB9_? I see the option how create a tag but I miss a way to edit, rename, have a list of all tags, organize them...Any ideas of how to manage this?
Try the Import option but doesn't do anything
The issue seems to be related to duplicate name brain files. I already loaded a brain and I tried to open a template brain.zip with a similar name and that confused the import option. What confuse me is that the application did not show an error or alert notification. Anyway thanks for the follow up.
Try the Import option but doesn't do anything
Thank you Patrick. Yes I followed the same steps but the brain was not imported or showed on the brains list afterwards. After I hit import it seems to do something but when it finishes it just have a cancel button, the Import button dissapear. The Brain 9 crashed when try to split to brains from their tab.
While using Brain9 I try to separate 2 brains from their tab and the app crashed. I wanted to show the 2 brains in 2 separate windows but them it stop working.

Additionally when I try to add a new icon to a thought the ICON library takes too many seconds to open.

How to zip/backup a brain in TB9?
I understand TB9 is a beta version but I have been building a brain that is now working fine. I will need to backup and migrate my personal data to a new computer but I was not able to find the zip or backup options in TB9. What option do I have to save and keep the current TB9 data similar like TB8?

Is possible to export a brain to navigate within a webpage?
Thank you Patrick. When you say Antiquated is there any better way to do something similiar? I am not familiar with iFrame is that a 3rd party software?

Is possible to export a brain to navigate within a webpage?
Can I export TB to HTML and upload the resulted map to a website/sharepoint so it can be browsed to the different thoughts and links similar to the real think. I would like to map the different locations of a sharepoint from thebrain. Any ideas suggestions if this can be done, IS HTML export option for this kind of scenarios?

Thanks for any ideas
Erick
The Brain9 kind of slow response when shifting thoughts
Nailed it! significantly improved the navigation after I unchecked that option. I was getting really frustrated clicking several times each thought to make it respond.

Thank YOu Matt
The Brain9 kind of slow response when shifting thoughts
Not at all. Already tweak that but I notice while clicking any thought it does not response after 3 or 4 tries. Compared to TB8 it does not behave the same.
The Brain9 kind of slow response when shifting thoughts
Not sure if this has been reported but since I am testing TB9 I notice it is slower than TB8. I understand this version is under development but I hope it can be tune up to the level of its predecessor. I added this video to show how slow. Sometimes I have to click more than two time to make it respond and change a different thought.
