Crawl in TB9?
Bal,

Thank you for your feedback and sharing your experience with us.  True, existing users may be familiar with the crawl feature, but Select Related Thoughts is more descriptive.  Glad you found it.

Thanks,
Matt
Timeline compact visualization and resizable band (#3672 and #3776)
Antonio,

Thank you for posting.  I believe both of these requests are currently documented, but I'll verify.

Thanks,
Matt
Feature suggestion: lock a parent
Bal,

First of all, did you forget the Thought, or completely delete it?  If the Thought is only forgotten, it can still be "remembered." Click on View > Reports and then in the Thoughts drop down menu, select Forgotten to see if your Thought is still there.  If so, activate it, right click and select Remember Thought.

The forgetting feature is really the safety net prior to deleting, rather than locking a Thought.  But I'll share your locking suggestion with the team for further consideration.

Thank you,
Matt

Stray Icon
David,

Doing any drag & drop from your attachments in List View?  I can get some icons into this area temporarily with this process, but nothing "sticks" to the screen when I drop the attachment somewhere.

Do you know what file type that icon is from? Looks like some type of Mail but I can't quite place it.

Thanks,
Matt

Unable to access app.thebrain.com via IE 11 but can access through Chrome
Frank,

Thanks for the extra details!  I'll share this directly to our development team for further review.  FYI, some of this may be changing in the future with the release of v9, but your feedback and shared experience is very helpful.

Thank you,
Matt
Unable to download or update
Frank,

Thanks for the suggestion.  The whole process/location may be changing in the future as we get closer to release (no date announcements yet) but I'll share your thoughts with the team. At this point, we still want people to be aware of the stable/beta/alpha channels prior to making their update decisions.

I've updated 3657 to include using the relative path in a Note as well.

Unable to install v9.0.170
Dominik,

Thanks for posting.  A manual update is needed for this version.  Please try uninstalling your current version of v9.  Instructions located here: http://www.thebrain.com/products/thebrain/thebrain9/update-troubleshooting/ Followed by a re-install of 9.0.167 and then the upgrade to 9.0.170.  Sorry for the additional steps, but some new features required the clean install.  Your existing v9 Brains will not be deleted in this process.

Thanks,
Matt

James,

Thanks for the additional details.  We'll schedule some Win 7 testing on the preview WebBrain.

unable to sync (#3616 and #3762)
Wayne,

An output.log file would be great. I suspect you'll still be seeing the "syncing: Ionic.Zip.ZipException" error - since Xavier confirmed that the issue is still open, but it would be nice to compare and review your log as well.

Thanks,
Matt
Workaround for bug with dragging mail into TB9
Johan,

The drag and drop request for Apple Mail is well documented and we do hope to incorporate this in the future. Thanks for sharing the workarounds! Option number 1 works well for Outlook users as well.

Thanks,
Matt
Toolbar Icons
Zen,

I just got a preview of the new buttons that will be included in the next build.  Simple, but effective changes are on the way.

Thanks,
Matt
