Export to HTML does not work
2013_wjh is the name of the brain and thebrain put it in a folder called 2013_wjh in the exported brains folder

What is the name of the Brain you exported and the folder that the index.html resides in?
Export to HTML does not work
Also, to be clear, if I run a local webserver and point it to the sitebrain, I can view that just fine. But I want to be able to send the sitebrain to people via email so they can view it, and these are people who don't have the technical ability to run a local webserver to view it.

As enkidu, Firefox usually works well. There are also programs made for editing and viewing HTML that work well.

I can't find *any* browser that can view the index.html that is generated on export. Is there one that works?

Drag and Drop from Outlook 2013
Thanks for the quick reply.  I had already checked that I was running 32 bit for both, but re-adding redemption worked.  One odd thing though, in Outlook I'm looking at a message that has 3 attachments.  When I try to drag one of the attachments over to PB, it drags the message that contains all 3 attachments instead.  Is this tunable behavior?
Drag and Drop from Outlook 2013
I know that drag and drop from outlook is a frequent topic, but...

I just installed the latest version of the Brain (after being off of it for a while) and Outlook 2013 and can't drag and drop messages or attachments from Outlook. I can drag them to the thought's folder if I open that, but that is a bit of a pain.  Is this a known issue?

Moving mail rather than linking it by default
zenrain,

That is exactly why I want to move rather than link to Outlook items.  When I move them or delete them (which is what I want to do... move the ones I want to take action on in to my brain ala GTD, then delete them from my inbox).
Outlook message drag and drop

I did find later that it was giving me a prompt, the one where it says that a program is trying to send mail on your behalf.  (why would PB be triggering that?) This never used to happen before, and nothing else has change on my system, so are you positive that there wasn't a change somewhere in this PB release (or possibly the one before, not sure when the last time I tried a drag & drop from outlook)?

Outlook message drag and drop
Hey Matt,

Outlook 2003, and yes, it was working fine before.  I'll recreate it and send you the log file.

Outlook message drag and drop
4.5.0.7 is hanging for me when I try to drop an Outlook message in the plex.

4.5.0.7 - Release Candidate
PB is hanging for me in this release any time I try to drag a message from outlook and drop it in to the plex.

Special characters
I want to use the '@' symbol as a keyword in implementing GTD and thus want to be able to search for it.  PB seems to ignore special characters and/or can't find them in keywords or notes when I search for them.  For example if I have @work as a keyword or in a note and then search for '@', nothing is returned.

Did a search on the forum and couldn't fine this, I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong but any help is appreciated.

Moving mail rather than linking it by default
I know that I can open up a thought folder and drag an outlook email to it in order to get it in to the brain, but is there a simpler way to have the default behavior be to copy, rather than link to, the message when it gets dropped in to the brain?  It seems like there used to be a way to do that, but I can't find it, couldn't find it on the forums, etc.

Thanks,
-Bill
Organizing Pins
This may be old news or obvious, but I haven't seen it posted so thought I'd offer it up.  I wanted to have my pins grouped in a certain way, with space in between groups, so I came up with the following solution.  I created a thought called "pin spacers" with several children whose name is some variation of "|    |".  Then I just drag the "spacer" children up and make them pins in between my groups of pins.
