Open attached url's automaticly?
Is this an option?
It would allow me to use the links to navigate through content in a separate iframe ....
Plex left - Content right

Hi Matt,

Implementing an uploaded Brian into a website is clear, but we still have no solution on how we can use thought-specific links to navigate content in an iFrame. If you have any examples where a brain is integrated in a (responsive) site in a well designed way: I'm still interested.

Option to center plex?
Hello Patrick,

It is a design issue. This is the lay out I need: plex left, automatic opening of a web page that is attached to a thought in a box on the right.
All nicely integrated in a single web page. As I said: It was possible two years ago, but then an upgrade killed it.

Do you know if (and how) I could get this lay out back with the latest PB version?
Option to center plex?
Hi Patrick,

Here is screencap of what was once a very nice project: http://www.uilenkamer.nl/BrainTest/ScreenCap-1.jpg

The main things I corresponded about with Matt Caton years ago were:
- automaticly open a html web page that is attached to a thought
- open it in a separate location (frame) that can be positioned exactly as I want.
(in the cap it is left of the plex, but now with mobile use it would have to be responsive and be able to relocate to below the plex...)

I once was possible, so I started to build a site based on this idea. (The capture was more or less the opening page)
After some months work an update of Personal Brain rendered the whole thing obsolete: the features were gone.
First it seemed this was only temporary (see my discussion with Matt) but in the end I gave up.
I lost loads of time and a very nice concept :-(

It's still in the back of my mind to see if it could be re-activated, so if we could arrange a meet: let me know !
Option to center plex?
Fun to see that a topic that I started almost four years ago is still alive ;-(
I regret to say that my own problem is no longer existing.
Because of an update I lost everything I did: it is no longer possible anymore to open web pages attached to a thought in a separate frame :-(
Plex left - Content right
Hi Matt,

Sorry to say, but I gave up on PB for a few years :-(
I lost so much work after the updates destroyed the work on I site I was planning.
I will have a look again, because the idea is still there.
The only thing is I will need a smooth design and that needs the feauture to open attached web pages in a designated iframe. If you have any idea if this is possible by integrating the new cloud sebs in a site, let me know.

Best wishes,

Rus

By the fact that nobody responded it seems that this layout for using TheBrain in a website is still not possible. Pitty, I still had some hopes to pick it up one day. :-(
Plex left - Content right

I did a web site with this once for a philosophy project, about three years ago, based on navigating attached web pages in a frameset where the plex was left and the web pages were opening in the right frame. It was a nice design, looked good and  worked perfectly, until it became impossible after an update. I lost months of work. I stoppped following TB since, but sometimes wonder if recent upgrades made this way of using TB for navigating content possible again.

Major malfunctions ..
Hi Matt,

Sorry to see that there is no answer anymore. It feels like in the end prediction you made is not going to become reality and the topic is silently closed. I remember that some time ago yoo mentioned  that could switch back to an old version of PB. Does this mean that all the future that came along with WebBrain in that version will work again and that I can restore my work/site?

Hi Matt,

Any chance the issue I have with TheBrain will be resolved in 2013?

Better iframes options
Hi Roger,

I guess you run in to the same problem I am having for some years. It was there and I builded a small great looking site around it, but when TheBrain upgrade to HTML5 all was lost. My discussion on this issue is here: http://forums.thebrain.com/post/Major-malfunctions-..-5260618  Or is it something else you are looking for?

Major malfunctions ..
Hi Matt,

Some months passed and because it's the end of the year I am evaluating last years projects with and without progress. The work I lost in my online PB project about beauty is not still restored and lying 'on the shelf' and is one of the things that did not went well and is still nagging me. What happened to the plans to restore the function that was taken out of Personal Brain, the option to open attached web pages in a separate iframe? I am still really curious if your clearvoyant predictions concerning this did come true or will come true in the near future. To be honnest: I stopped checking the latest versions of PB myself, because I hoped for a sign, so I don't know if the latest improvements imcluded what I am looking for. I Hope you can give me an update.

Best wishes,   Marius

Hi Matt,

I worked long and hard to get a lay out for an onine book, based on the plex idea and technology of Pers.Brain. I'm sorry to say that this is not a solution, becauue all the writing I did is in the web pages that should be loaded in the separate iframe, (the way I got it working after Harlan posted the instructoin for this). I lost months of work after the upgrade in May last year.  I'm still hoping some day it can be recovered, but I would be very happy if you could give me real date ...
I'm sorry to say it makes me somewhat cynical if I see this new version advertised with in huge letters 'Over 50 new features...'
I only need one and this one don't need to be added, it justs needs to be restored, since it was functioning already OK in PB6.

Best wishes,
Rus

Hi Matt, any news? I have the feeling that in the latest version 7.0.4.4 the options that disappeared is again not available... Am i right? I still hope your promise will come true and it will be possible to automaticly open attached web pages in a separate browser frame. I really don't understand why Harlan then gave the code to build this and later is was not possible anymore.  Can you give an estimate date when you think it will be restored?  Thanks. I still hope to recover my work.

Hi Matt,

About six month ago you wrote you had 'solid insight' that the work I lost after the last big upgrade could be recovered.
About a month ago you said you were going to have a talk about this with engineering.

Since then ithas been awfully silent...

Still hoping for good news soon.

Marius
