For mobile devices (tablets and phones), we are targeting iOS and Android. For the desktop, we are targeting Windows and Mac OS. When you are on another platform or just don't want to install the full client application, we are developing a Web client which will be significantly more performant than the current version.

Since we are creating native experiences on each platform, the number of platforms has a direct impact on how long it takes to develop. Taking on smaller platforms like Windows mobile and Linux takes resources away from the other platforms that are used by over 99% of our users, which in turn means delays and/or less functionality.

@biffbaxter Thanks for your offer to help with testing. Maybe one day things will change to let us come back to Linux. FYI, with Java we were able to support Linux at very little additional expense. Since we are no longer using Java, continuing to offer new Linux versions is no longer possible.

Will the older versions with Linux still be supported, and will these still be able to synchronize with the Cloud services?

Alternatively might it work in Crossover?

Instant search does not work with colon
This is still an issue in v. 8.0.1.6. I use this notation a lot, could you check this? Separating with "|" works fine.
Cmd-Click on linked thoughts gate to REMOVE from selection
Setting a shortcut for Clear Selection can be done in Preferences-Accelerators. I use Alt-Ctrl-c. I would like a possibility to set a lkeyboard shortcut for "Add Children to Selection" though.
Import from Xmind
TB allows import from Freemind, MindManager +, but not from XMind. Can this be added as a feature?

Customisation
A mindmap view in TB that's been logged as a feature request previously might solve this.
Moving selected Brain info to MindManager
MindManager should be able to import XML files. Maybe you can copy the thoughts you need to a new brain and then export this as Brain XML and then import?
Mindmap view
I like the distant thoughts(expand all) view a lot, but when the distant thoughts is not accessible by the keyboard it's not as useful as it could be. Enabling this would be very efficient.
Anyone using JAVA 8 in production ?
Seems like there are some exciting improvements in v.8 especially regarding performance: https://blogs.oracle.com/thejavatutorials/entry/learn_more_about_performance_and
My TBs on Slackware Linux and Windows 7 is very stable with no issues, but would like to try this out. [smile]

Mini-Freezes (5-10 seconds)
Can you check if you have links to files outside of TB that are not valid anymore? I have experienced that this will slow down TB a lot.

Multiple Plex Interface
Agree. This would be very useful. Wonder if this is advanced to implement?

Brain tool windows layout resets
This is still an issue in v.8.0.0.8. Should be quick to fix?

Default Notes Font
For the Plex you should be able to change your font in Options-Preferences-Brain-Plex Font. In Notes you should be able to do this in File-Set Default Notes Style. Can't you do this in your TB?

opening attachments/folders
You have to close TB and then edit the DefaultUnixProperties.file. Also check for similar entries that might clutter things up.
Extended use causes Brain to slow and finally freeze
Can you try File-Utilities-Rebuild Search Index and check if that helps? If not, try to reinstall Java first and then TB?
