I experienced exactly the same when installing Acrobat Reader 11. I uninstalled and returned to an earlier version to recover the icons.

Hopefully a fix will be forthcoming as this is a common installation.

Was this problem replicated by TheBrain staff? I have my brain filled with PDF and this is a big problem for me. There is a plan to fix it?

Did you try that yet?

Yes. I tried to reinstall all but everything stay the same. I now shifted to Foxit reader. I do not have icons but the PDF opens automatically at least. Then is possibly a problem due to my system. Thanks. Antonio
