+1 this has been affecting my own TB android usage the most

my own suspicion is that it has something to do with the animated cursor feature being always turned on for the android client, since most other android apps I’ve used where the gboard space navigation don’t work are ones that have implemented nonstandard caret behavior

I have turned off the animated cursor feature on my desktop client, but there is no option to do so on Android. Would it be possible to add an option? Or better: would TB consider turning off the animation for android by default? I can see the animation being helpful in a keyboard environment but it does not seem to have a point in a touchscreen environment. Also mobile apps would be expected to be more battery conscious etc
