Brice
Hi all, long time since my last visit, but i'm here again !

Basically, I use a sort of template in Notes containing a Table (5 lines, 2 columns), and 1 of the cells contain an image I past each time a different.

When I finished filling my template, I copy it and paste in a new thought. It seems OK, but if get my mouse around, the pasted image switch to a tottaly different image, and I guess thats the first image I add in my TB7.

Brice,

Thank you for posting. We have tried testing this in the latest version of TheBrain 7 beta (7.0.1.7) and have been unable to reproduce the issue described. Can you post a step-by-step procedure of how this issue occurs and/or screenshots of the issue? Any additional information you can share will help us to troubleshoot this issue. Thank you.

Regards,

Well, here it is :

1) You create a node, containing a pasted picture [image]
Then, always inside the node notes, you CTRL+A and CTRL+C (Select all + copy)
2) You create another node, go into its notes and paste [image]
3) You briefly mouse over another node, the first one for example (node 0 on screenshot) [image]
4) The pasted image of the node 2 has changed ! [image]

Brice,

Thank you for the reply and additional information. After further testing, we have still been unable to reproduce this issue on our end. Does the original table come from another Though or was the table originally created in the Thought, Try 1? Would you be willing to send us a copy of your Brain for some testing? We can also set up a web meeting to go over this in person, if you prefer.

It was not really created one "Try 1" but some nodes ago.

Anyway if I repeat the entire process (1,2,3,4) with a whole new node with a single picture (no table and so on) taken from the web (originaly taken from this page), this cause exactly the same problem, and it repeat each time without exception.
Note that if I copy/paste (CTRL+A+C+V) in the same node - in order to have the same image twice - everything works perfectly.

I guess it has something to do with the poping image (the one which appear), which is in another node (far away in time and space) ? But which hasn't anything particular ...
(Maybe a pointer problem with included pictures)

Unfortunately I have some data from my work inside my brain and cannot just release it to you (forgive me !), is there a way to export a branch of a brain ? in a format which keep relationships better than XML probably

EDIT:
I noted that both pictures get the same filename, maybe this could help.

And the meta data seems to be kept : i.e. "other text" field (image > properties) is kept even if the visual and size is updated.

Brice,

So that we can better understand the issue (and replicate it easily) could you please send us the content of the note itself.  In the Notes tab, click on VIEW > HTML VIEW and send us that content.  You can obviously delete or replace any confidential text in the note before sending.

Thank you,
Matt

I didn't know this issue before but indeed it's really close, except that in my case it's always replaced by the same image

I just tried again this procedure on my brain but in another computer (linked using webbrain) and I don't note any error. This seems to be related to my brain on my computer only ...
