I started TheBrain, wanting to use it. I did not want to click ok. Clicking ok is not part of my morning ritual.

As far as I can tell, this error had no effects whatsoever. After clicking ok, everything worked perfectly fine.
So why was it even there?

Hi David,

Have you been able to reliably reproduce this one? I cannot seem to reproduce at all. Any steps that may trigger the problem would be appreciated. Let me know.

Thanks

Nope. For all I know it might be an uniquity caused by not knowing how to cleanly reinstall TheBrain.
Haven't seen it since or before.

other idea:
My student dorm runs a WPA2-Enterprise security network.
Sometimes when I log into Windows, it takes a while before I get auto-connected to the Wifi.
Very rarely (though that might have been updated away by Windows) I even had to manually select it and press connect.
That might be related. So setting up WPA2-Enterprise and then immediately trying to open TheBrain after boot
plus having about as many or more background services installed as I do.
Or fewer services, but a slower machine.

Interesting, I'll document this as a bug report in case any other reports come in regarding this issue.
Thanks

David,

Also, was there anything useful in the log files? If you can find anything about it, send it in to support@thebrain.com so we can take a deeper look.

Those logfiles are lost. Did a Windows restore today and they were never in the OneDrive backup.
How can this be so mysterious? After all, you yourself wrote the message box.
Will send logs, should I observe it again.
