Works for me on Windows 10. Could you reupload the images? They're broken.

This video shows the errors when I attempt to copy the text in a thought title.
It also shows the errors when I attempt to get a thought link.

RE: potential interaction with a different app that works with the clipboard.
I'm posting this here to close the loop on the forum...
I just replied to your last support email.

You may be onto something.

No longer reproducible.

Tonight it is no longer occurring.

I can’t prove (without buying the software that I was trying out and that just expired) that the app causing me grief is: Copy2Contact.

There are two other programs that I run that interact with my clipboard:

() ArsClip

() ABBYY ScreenShot reader

Neither one of those appears to be causing an issue .

(I know this is Windows 7 so it's not high priority.)

I uninstalled copy2contact.
rebooted
made sure that arsclip and ABBYY are not running.
Tried to copy local thought URL.
Got the error that it could not open the clipboard.
But... the text that corresponds to the thought is there.
brain:// api.thebrain.com/qMPtVLjm5UWW_--epk4JFA/EWMh-qwfYEOfuJ4P9vUYDQ/FeaturePlanning

meanwhile -Trying to copy any text within the brain causes the brain to have to restart
.
I created a new test brain and tested copying a local though URL with the same results.

I did a "repair" install

I tested copying a local thought URL with the same results.

I'm mystified.

rebooted again.
The brain was the first application I started.
Same results.

It's like - some sequence of events puts thebrain into this state.
Once it's in this state it's stuck.
The state however persists between application restarts and even reboots.

Perhaps something is in your clipboard which has corrupted it somehow. Try going to another app and copying some text to the clipboard then going back to TheBrain and copying again.

OK. So... I started Arsclip.  I selected "flush all history" then "flush clipboard".
Wala - the issue is cleared.

Thanks for pushing me on this.
I'll set the title to resolved.
Hopefully this was the problem after all.
