What I want to do is change the color of links in the Notes section based on the link type or protocol.

So each of the following would be different colors: brain://, http://, ftp://, etc.

Am I missing the option to change this?  All I can see is changing the options for ALL links .... Options --> Preferences --> Colors

If you ask "why", it is because clicking on a link that opens another program is time-consuming and distracting, two things I could do without

If I'm not being clear, basically I want to look at a link within Notes and know exactly where it will lead.  I realize that that is pretty much the whole point of links in the plex, but sometimes it can be hard to know *why* the jump is there.  However if I have a whole paragraph explaining something, it's sometimes useful to say at the end, "See |some subject| for more info."  The |some subject| may be a link for a webpage or an individual thought in the plex.  I am not interested in what is discussed here: http://www.thebrain.com/support/tutorials/types-and-tags/link-types/ (link types between thoughts) if that helps.  thanks

No, sorry there isn't a way to do this that I can see. You may want to enter a enhancement request in UserVoice.

Thanks for the direction to that site.  When I first saw something like this on Dropbox's site I thought it was pretty innovative.  Glad to see TheBrain chose to use it too.
