OSX 10.5 allows e-mail messages to behave as hyperlinks. However this functionality doesn't currently work with PB, either in notes or attachments.
Requesting this be added.

Can you please describe what you mean by "OSX 10.5 allows e-mail messages to behave as hyperlinks." Sorry, but I don't know what you are referring to... It does sound promising though.

Sure. In OSX 10.5, open textedit and drag an e-mail from your inbox list to the document in textedit. This will create a hyperlink that will allow you to open that mail message no matter where you move it in mail (unless deleted).

You can get the message URL using the context-menu (right click/ctrl-click) on any message and select "Copy Message URL".

While it is not drag-n-drop, you can add a hyperlink to a thought and paste the clipboard contents after using the Copy Message URL menu command.

Then you can click on the thought icon to bring up the email.

On a side note, I'm an OmniFocus user as well and I can connect to projects in OmniFocus using the same technique.
