Depending on the subject we're trying to tackle, learn, or solve—we can approach it from many perspectives. One being bottom-up. Another being top-down.

When we're learning a new subject, we haven't grasped the big areas. Yet. Meaning, it's difficult to ascertain what the logical groupings are until we're progressed deeper in a subject.

Therefore, it's easier to 'brain dump' on a page—and then over time—form those logical groupings/parents.

In the context of The Brain, that'd be 'flipping' the canvas so we start with the children, and fill-in the parents later.
