I get that the default commands don't allow for a ninth pin, because ctrl+9 is already used for something else (don't remember which command anymore, "show more items" or something like that).
However it'd be neat, if there were "unset-by-default"-commands for pinned item 9, 10 and so on, anyway.
Pinned item number ten would fit nicely to ctrl+0 in my personal control-scheme, I'm developing.
11 to 20 would go well with alt+number.
