When you have a Thought like "Authors" it naturally will get quite busy. I decided to address this by creating sub-thoughts "Authors, A-E", "Authors, F->J" and so on.
This solves the problem of an overly busy plex but I just noticed a downside.
When looking at a person thought that is a child of Authors, A-E, all related people (in the thoughts on the right hand side) come also from Authors, A-E so you only see a sub-set.
Perhaps this is only a problem because of my use of an arbitrary categorisation. If I had chosen "Authors, Psychology" maybe I might have been happier with the results. Or perhaps I shouldn't care?
It does occur to me that I am facing this because I am somewhat forced into breaking up the children of a Thought because the Plex isn't very good at managing dozens/hundreds of child-thoughts.
I wonder if there is, perhaps, a better way? I imagined what it might be like if a thought could automatically group its children (according to some rule, e.g. alphabetically).
So you could imagine that an 'author thought' would remain a direct child of 'authors' but the children of authors could be presented in the plex in expandable groups.
I'd be interested to know how other people handle busy thoughts.
