Hi, I'm considering replacing my Chrome Bookmarks with a Brain. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to import them. I found an old video where the entire Bookmark structure from MSIE or Firefox was imported via the "Import..." menu into Personal Brain. Has this functionality disappeared in TheBrain 9?

Cheers

According to Matt, bookmarks can be imported into TB8 first, and from there they can then be imported into TB9:
http://forums.thebrain.com/post/importing-ie-favorites-into-personal-brain-9-9782261?pid=1304710488

Don't know what (if any) plans exist for eventually providing a direct import option.

Thank you for your help Metta. Unfortunately TB8 won't install; referring to the error message that popped up (see below), my version 10 of the JRE may be too new. I've been wanting to play with The Brain since the very first version (Personal Brain at the time). I guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer...

Cheers!

So sorry to hear you've run into this speed bump!

Hopefully someone from TB staff will be able to troubleshoot this issue and come up with a work-around (if not a working solution).

Fingers crossed!

Gers,

Try installing the 32 bit version of Java.  You won't need the 64 bit version in order to import anything into v8.

Thanks,
Matt

Is there a possibility to import bookmarks directly in TH10 or TB11? It is not really a solution to go through version 8 is it.....
