I think the simplest logic to pinpoint is to find out why the delay also occurs with the mouse rollover over a special tag thought. I have a number of special tag thoughts as pins and just rolling over them without a click causes the hang. The 'Tag Thought' label just appears frozen for 5 seconds (along with the rest of the plex) even if moving the mouse around. All other software active and running fine so yes, not a resource issue.

I have copied those roundabout 100 thoughts from the big brain in a separate one.
(It is http://webbrain.com/brainpage/brain/07060D08-7A99-32DF-A4E9-2DAC04CDBA31 here.)
The new (little) one has no delays.
The big one has (just like described by Spacenexus) delays every fifth or so thought touched by mouse.

Hannes, are you seeing delays on all types of thoughts, or just tag thoughts, like Jim? Can you send Moe the info on which thoughts in the brain he has access to allow you to replicate this behaviour? Thanks.

Tried some other regions of my brain01 (Moe has access to my account):
No delay on first 100 thoughts, most are without tags.
Then I picked a Tag-Thought with many thoughts (LCN): Still no latencies.

(By the way: I would very much like a command: include all thoughts on plex (currently displayed in expanded view) into selection! And vice versa .)

Now I pick the Tag-Tought that yesterday produced the latencies: No delay!
I packed those thoughts all together getting some hundreds of thoughts on plex!

Now saving this expanded view and loading the one of todays test that reproduces the latencies: No latencies.

Now closing brain and starting new:
Big delay on start (takes minutes to really show the "web" after pinning the initial thought and some links to the plex. After minimizing brain and maximizing it remains black: no more reaction! for minutes. PB = 50% CPU load.
don't even react on close button.
kill it.
after restart the plex won't expand the last view: There were only many links but no thoughts visible. No movement on plex.
Open another brain: same picture! It's frozen even for another brain!
Closed brain.
Open with another brain and switch to normal view.
Now I can load even other brains and they work.
Load the initial brain01: works.
Load expanded view: no delays.

Before going crazy I stop here, sorry.
computer was not restarted after successful reproducing yesterday's latencies in the morning!

Oh WOW! Sex on a Plex!!!

Fantastic job guys, tag latency blasted away to instant activation and delightfully responsive thought transitions.

BIG THANKS!!!!

yes, seems to be faster now - will report more euphoric when I really feel the speed. (I am on my slowest machine right now)

- have not yet checked the specific issue I had with some tagged thoughts.

But another latencie seems not yet be cured: Instant search still is stalling after some letters for many seconds. I found this by entering a new thought where obviously instant search is activated.

Maybe you could apply the 600% miracle even to that point?

Hannes, so far instant search has been instant on 6040 for me. Will make a note if it stalls on mine too.

Jim, do you have access to a port with future downloads?
seems to be like in harry potter.
I see 6039 only - being a muggle

I would be willing to pay for a port with - say - next years features

update: Ok, I got it:
It is named 6039 still but contains 6040. That's a good one not to make it too easy.

very interesting feature:
introduced in 6040 but with effect in 6039
very special kind of backward-upward compatibility or backward recursiveness in time.
I always had forseen that PB would have a big effect on mankind.
