Hellow!
I have just upgraded to 4.5.2.0 from 4.1.3.2 and now I have the following problem:

When I drag the russian-named sites from the browser to PB it does not get their names and displays a lot of square-symbols instead of cyrillic letters.
4.1.3.2 - works fine with these sites
i tried your beta 5 version - the same problem there (
My OS is WinXP Pro
My browsers are IE 7 and Firefox 3

Had to downgrade, but now I can not use it with the converted brains,

Temaput,

If possible, can you re-install the 5Beta to another directory (so it is possible to run both 4.x and 5) and then replicate the error.  Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing into support@thebrain.com?

Thank you,
Matt

Temaput,

If you could just post a URL that you are having trouble with, we can try it and find out what's wrong. Thanks.

It is an old problem with some sites.
For example (url — <meta> tag in html):
http://www.rbc.ru/ — charset=windows-1251
http://gismeteo.ru/ — charset=windows-1251
http://www.ag.ru/ — charset=windows-1251
http://overclockers.ru/softnews/31338.shtml — charset=windows-1251
http://oper.ru/ — charset=KOI8-R
http://www.artlebedev.ru/ — charset is not specified

For sites with «charset=utf-8» all is well.

Harlan, mcaton:
Here are some screens made in two different versions of PB on one computer, with one browser during the one session. The versions are 4.5.2.0 and 4.1.3.2, first one is not working, the second works fine. The problem with the new version persist on almost every russian site!

The urls are: http://www.mail.ru http://www.rbc.ru http://www.kuking.net http://www.bookz.ru and many more....

Thanking you in advance

I am on Vista now and still have the same problem with theBrain. Did you manage to get some solution?
