I succesfully connected my Google-Account with my TheBrain-account in View>Show Account Info.
However I'm not seeing the option to pick a specific Calendar anywhere.
My timeline-events don't show up in GCal, anywhere.
If this isn't implemented yet, could you maybe grey out "manage external accounts" till it is?

unless otherwise specified, assume 100% scaling
My videos always show the current time & date (look at Windows Taskbar).

David,

Thanks for posting. Did you click on the `Manage External Accounts` option?  You can get there from the avatar in the upper right hand corner of the app, or from the hamburger button in TheBrain Timeline.

Thanks,
Matt

There's nothing here for me to do.

But in the Timeline there was indeed a secret Hamburger, where I could select a GCal-calendar to sync with.
I did not know about the secret Hamburger though. I selected the the calender "TheBrain 11 Tickler" on my GCal to sync with.
Three times, by now. Hasn't worked yet. I'll check tommorow.

Hi DavidGretzschel,

Did it work?

Yup. When I woke up, it was all there. A couple hours ago, I added an event in GCal and it's correctly shown as a Thought-less event on the Timeline.
It's not instant it seems. Perhaps it takes five minutes. Perhaps an hour. Kind of the same subjectively for me.
This is all right though, since I'm planning to use this as a Tickler to remind me of "Waiting For"-projects, which doesn't need instant syncing.
It just needs to work reliably and so far I have no reason to believe it wouldn't.

Hi David,

Glad to hear it is working, though I'm interested to hear more about the delay in syncing. Is this reproducible with multiple events? Hopefully I am understanding you correctly. Let me know

Thanks
-Nick

It was maybe for first-time setup, only? Added "test GCal-sync" to my inbox. Please implement my "Thought>replace parent(s)"-suggestion, so that I can more quickly process all the stuff in my inbox 🙂
