When creating child thoughts off of pinned thoughts, the new child thought will link itself to (what I would call a random) thought in a completely un-related parent-child tree.  This has been happening to me on a regular basis with 6.0.  At first I thought maybe I was doing something wrong but it appears to work fine in 5.5.

See attached screenshot.

Windows 7 64-bit & Vista 64-bit
Java 6-update 20
PB 6.0.1.4-b

Ken,

Thanks for posting. Sounds like something else is going on. Creating a Child Thought from a pinned Thought in version 6.0.1.5 seems to link correctly (Child Thought links to the pinned Thought as expected). Does the problem occur in a new Brain you create? Or does it only occur in a specific Brain of yours?

Thanks,
Moe

I run 3 brains:  2 for work and 1 personal.  I do 95% of my work in my larger work brain (which makes me appear more organized than I actually am!)  I haven't created a new brain with 6.0, just upgraded my 5.5 brains.
