Anything that increases the uncertainty level while working at any job tends to increase stress. Most tabbed text editors use color, an icon or something else to flag the first edit to a previously saved document, alerting the user to save. Likewise it would be nice to see the blue Refresh icon in Reports changing to red as soon as the user does something that requires the Reports result to be updated, such as activate another thought when the Reports filter is set to Date activated.
The only thing better than this would be automatic refreshing of Reports at an interval to be set by the user. Both these features are commonplace in other applications.
Bearing in mind that one of PB's current problems is an unacceptably long refresh latency at times, it may be difficult to implement either of the above two suggestions until the underlying bug is addressed, maybe by assigning a higher priority thread to the refresh process than is currently the case.
