A thought with the keyword in the thought and in the attached note doesn't come up for a search.

What's the procedure? What can I do to help debug this?

Please repeat the search, and tell us exactly what you are searching for as well as where you were expecting the result to be displayed (in which Thought). Then post the output.log file from your PersonalBrain program folder and the search.log file from your _brain folder. Finally, please post a screenshot of the search results so we can see what is missing.

We've had some time to review your log files.  Looks like your search index simply needs to be rebuilt.  You can open the Brain file and click on FILE > UTILITIES > REBUILD SEARCH INDEX.

Thank you,
Matt

Love to have some more information about that.
  1. Is there a way to know that the search index needs to be rebuild or is the only way to know if you finally spot it doesn't return results you know must be there?

  2. If the answer to #1 is negative, should we rebuild our index on a regular basis?

  3. What causes this situation to occur in the first place? Something we do wrong?

Normally, the search index should not need rebuilding. Unfortunately there is no automated way of knowing there is a problem, but we're looking into the possibilities in this regard.

The search index is not included in BrainZips and needs to be rebuilt when you open a BrainZip (you are automatically prompted at this time.). Normally, this is the only time the command would need to be used.

It is also possible for your search index to get corrupted if PersonalBrain suffers from a severe crashes while indexing is taking place, although this is fairly unlikely.
