Same as this issue in 4.3.0.6:

I have included my output.log. There seems to be some errors related to this.

Thanks for your post. This seems to be a problem related to the Java implementation on Linux unfortunately. We are investigating this further.

I have included my output.log from 4218 for reference.  It works fine in this version.

This seems to have been a problem for Gnome users too:

I use KDE 3.5.9. Selecting color works fine in version 4218, but not in 4306. I have included my diff file to for convenience.

The issue is that 4.3 uses the native Linux look and feel. This has caused the color picker problem. We may just build a custom color picker to avoid this...

4.5.0.2 switches the look and feel to avoid this problem. Thanks.

This works fine so now can I use 4.5.0.4, thanks.

Really loved that GTK speed , so I hope that comes back later though.

Did you notice a speed decrease since switching back to the older look and feel?

Startup time is about same in both versions, but the GTK version seems faster when using PB.

Is this relevant?

Yes, we are switching the look and feel using call described therein, but the problems of the GTK look and feel are bugs in the Java code. So far, I have not seen any documented workarounds for them.
