Tom,

Sorry to hear that your Brain didn't sync in v9.  I'll share the log files with our engineers.  We've made a lot of progress on syncing in this most recent build.  Was this a Brain that you had previously attempted to sync?  Were you receiving the error "Unexpected error with MergeSyncs"?  If so, please try one of the following:

1. You can change your GUID and try to re-sync.  This is done on your Brains List page, right click on the thumbnail and select Assign Brain new GUID... Then open and sync.

2. Re import from v8.  This will give the new Brain a clean GUID and again, you can try a sync.

And to answer your question: It's a bit of a hassle, but yes, you can segment your Brain into several, smaller, topic specific Brains and then sync - but this should certainly not be necessary and we'd like to get your MEGA Brain syncing flawlessly!

Thank you
Matt

FYI, a brain of over 200,000 thoughts can be synced without issue. Generally the size of a brain should not be a problem with syncing unless your internet connection gives out during the initial sync. Please be patient while we iron out the remaining wrinkles in sync - remember this is the beta software and we want to find and address as many problems as possible at this stage. Thanks.

Regards,
-Harlan
