I've been getting a lot of errors on 60, 61, 62 and now apparently 63.
Also crashes. They often appear very close to the beginning of a session.
And the majority of them seem to have nothing to do with performance.

This thread is a series of three "unexpected Errors", that I could easily generate within 20 minutes or so.
I have no idea how, but that's what the videos are for.
I've set the NotesStyle font to Bokor (which apparently means "a bunch of Squares") and the Plex-Font to Wingdings.
This makes what I'm doing look fairly odd, but it allows me to maintain some privacy.
[and anyone who can fluently read WingDings deserves to know my secrets]
The point is very much that I'm not doing anything specific to trigger those.
I'll be sending the logs via email.

You see me open the program, open my Brain and just move around randomly on the Plex, doing nothing in particular.
Then at some point, there will be an error.
first error
After "continue" I could use TheBrain normally (tested for a couple of minutes).

Also note that those errors are not complications of the weird fonts. I get them even with the default fonts.

This is as thorough than I know to be about this, at the moment.
If there's anything else I can do to help figure this out, let me know.
However version 60, 61, 62 and 63 aren't feasible for me to use, at the moment.
Interruptions tend to derail my train of thought and I can't let that happen.
So I'll happily keep using 11.56 untill this issue is resolved.

Same Problem. Installed the 63 version, TheBrain automatically restarted and the only thing I can do is just look at the screen, get around with the mouse, which doesn't seem to relate to or contact with any of the thoughts ... Even after rebooting the iMac

David,

Regarding the error on 11.0.64, did you send an output.log file (along with a short description of what was happening at the time) into support@thebrain.com? We're happy to take a closer look.

Thanks,
Matt

so.... I'm told that the errors I recorded in 63 have been resolved now.
The 64 error I recorded seems to be a different one.
Thankfully, it hasn't reappeared so far in two days of heavy use.

Okay, got a boatlaod of more errors, diverse ones too.
They're support-ticketed with Jay.
They seem all to be related to a somewhat unique corner case involving the "Thought>Open new Window" command on the Homethought, in a half-split Plex state, when there's already a todo-list in there, which has been copy-and-pasted in a particularly incompetent manner. (also possibly Bokor........don't ask)

I'm getting an increasing frequency of crashes on Windows 10 x64 on all latest versions of TB11 as well.  Most of the time, they are not showing an error report dialog or at least not one that is usable.  What is the best way to add more information to this troubleshooting?

@rustyedges
I've already given @jayofemi a lot of info via support, videos/logs/error/reports/conspiracy theories and the like, for 64.
At the moment they have enough from me at least.
Maybe just copy the crash/errors you do get and send them to support@thebrain.com without comment just to make sure, it's really the same errors.
I think it makes only sense to report for 64?

Is 64 viable for you? I'm not quite sure yet, since I haven't used it enough yet.
It's definitely better than 60 to 63, which are basically unuseable, though.

@mcaton
Could you share an installer for 57 with us? Cause I know for a fact that 56/57 runs perfectly fine.
But 56 doesn't have sync.
