Might have been days since version 11.30 was out, cause each time I started up TheBrain 11, it was after some sort of crash, where it asks me if it wants to restore the old tab-settings.
The option in preferences>System>Updates>Check for updates is called "always" and not called "always, unless there was a crash last time, in which case you'd badly want the update actually, so that there are maybe less crashes, but...... uhm..... no, not then".
Feel rather annoyed at suffering thru possibly very many crashes, that I needn't have.

FYI, the app does indeed check for updates regardless of if the last close was due to a crash.

Well, I definitely remember that not being the case multiple times.
Not something I can test very often, though.
Next time I notice that an update is out, but TB11 is still open, I'll record purposefully crashing the program (pretty sure there's still some ways to do that) and restarting it, so you may see for yourself.
