When I first started adding mp3 files to the Brain they were associated with Winamp. Then in windows, I changed the mp3 file association to VLC Player (permanently). However, the file association in The Brain remains as Winamp. Not only does the file icon in Properties & Attachments show as winamp - but files that are now associated in windows with VLC, open via the Brain in winamp. Should it not be the case that The Brian simply uses what windows uses, and if that changes, the Brain file associations should automaticvally change to?

PersonalBrain does not keep track of file associations. It simply asks the OS to open the file with the default application. So, that means that whatever method you used to change the file association did not do so completely properly.
